Khabia
Khabia are large ceramic pots that have been hand coiled and generally have a flat base.  They were used in Morocco to store Olives, Olive Oil, Khleer (air dried spiced meat that is then cooked in fat and stored in either fat or oil) and Smen (Salted aged butter) They were buried in the ground up to their necks, this insulated the contents from the most extreme temperature changes.
